People are no damn good
Cynical, embittered, suspicous, you hate everyone. (Especially, but never to be admitted, youself?) The perfectibility of the human race? "Nonsense! No way!" The stupidity, the meanness, and the crookedness of most mortals. "Most? Probably all!" -- That is your favorite theme.

Misanthropy is the general hatred, dislike, distrust, or contempt of the human species, human behavior, or human nature. A misanthrope or misanthropist is someone who holds such views or feelings. The word originates from the Greek words μῖσος mīsos 'hatred' and ἄνθρωπος ānthropos 'man, human'. Misanthropy involves a negative evaluative attitude towards humanity that is based on mankind's flaws. Misanthropes hold that these flaws characterize all or at least great majority of human beings and that there is no easy way to rectify them short of a complete transformation of the dominat way of life.
Misanthropy is typically associated with either a destructive outlook aiming to hurt other people or an attempt to flee society. Other types of misanthropic responses include activism by trying to improve humanity, quietism in the form of resigantion, and humor mocking the absurdity of the human condition.
인간혐오는 인간에 대한 혐오, 반감, 불신 혹은 경멸의 일반적인 형태이다. 인간혐오자는 이런 관점과 감정들을 가지고 있는 사람이다. Misanthropy라는 단어는 그리스어 μῖσος mīsos '혐오' 와 ἄνθρωπος ānthropos '사람'에서 유래했다. 인간혐오는 인간의 결함을 기반한 인간성에 대한 부정적인 평가 태도를 포함한다. 인간혐오자들은 이러한 결점들이 모든 혹은 최소한 대부분의 인간을 특정 짓는다 여기고 주되고 완벽한 탈바꿈의 태도가 부족한 인간을 바로 잡을 수 있는 방법이 없다고 인식한다.
인간을 싫어하는 것에는 다른 사람을 다치게 하는 목적을 가진 파괴적 세계관이나 사회로부터 도망치려는 시도가 일반적으로 관련되어 있다. 다른 형태의 인간혐오적인 반응에는 인간성을 개선시키려는 시도의 행동주의와 채념형태의 수용주의 그리고 인간 상태에 대한 부조리를 조롱하는 농담, 유머같은 형태를 포함한다.
